Ökosystemphilosophie: Ummauerter Garten vs. offene Prärie
Der größte Unterschied im Jahr 2026 liegt nicht im Bewegungssystem, sondern im Ökosystem.
Bambu Lab: Der „Geräte“-Ansatz
Bambu Lab dominiert weiterhin den „Plug-and-Play“-Sektor. Die Versionen für 2026 setzen noch stärker auf das proprietäre Ökosystem. Die Integration von Slicer, Cloud und Drucker ist nahtlos. Maßgenauigkeit: Prusa ist hier weiterhin führend. Die Input-Shaper-Implementierung priorisiert Maßgenauigkeit gegenüber reiner Geschwindigkeit. Wenn ich einen Kolben benötige, der in einen Zylinder mit ISO-Toleranzen passt, verwende ich den Prusa.

Technische Werkstoffe: Die geschlossenen Kammern von Bambu (X- und P-Serie) verarbeiten ASA und PC (Polycarbonat) mühelos. Die aktive Kammerheizung der neuesten Modelle von 2026 hat den Verzug deutlich reduziert. Der Prusa XL ist phänomenal für Multimaterial-Stützstrukturen und ermöglicht das Drucken von PLA-Stützstrukturen für PETG-Teile, die sich sauber ablösen lassen.

Vorteil von Voron: Wenn Sie PEEK oder PEI drucken müssen, ist ein entsprechend modifizierter Voron mit beheizter Kammer außerhalb von industriellen Stratasys-Maschinen die beste Wahl. Aber nochmal: Sie bauen die Sicherheitssysteme selbst.
Sicherheitsprotokolle: Eine kritische Analyse
Hier kommt meine Rolle als Sicherheitsbeauftragter ins Spiel. 3D-Druck erzeugt ultrafeine Partikel (UFP) und flüchtige organische Verbindungen (VOC).
Bambu Lab punktet mit seiner sofort einsatzbereiten Sicherheit. Die X-Serie ist mit Aktivkohlefiltern ausgestattet. Diese sind zwar nicht perfekt – ich empfehle weiterhin eine externe Belüftung –, filtern aber den Großteil der Styroldämpfe aus dem ABS-Druck. Zudem verfügen sie über einen zuverlässigen Schutz vor thermischem Durchgehen und eine KI-gestützte Erkennung von Kabelsalat, die Brandgefahren im Keim erstickt.
Prusa verlangt den Kauf des Gehäuse-Add-ons für HEPA-Filterung und Brandschutzfunktion. Es funktioniert zwar gut, verursacht aber zusätzliche Kosten und einen zusätzlichen Arbeitsschritt. Der thermische Schutz in der Firmware ist jedoch exzellent.
Voron ist die Wundertüte. Warnung: Ich habe schon von Studenten selbstgebaute Voron-Geräte mit Netzspannungsverkabelung gesehen, die jeden Elektriker zur Verzweiflung bringen würden. Da Sie Netzteil und SSR selbst verkabeln, besteht bei Fahrlässigkeit ein Brandrisiko. Sofern Sie kein zertifizierter Elektriker oder erfahrener Bauarbeiter sind, sollten Sie ein selbstgebautes Voron-System nicht in einem Klassenzimmer installieren.
Wertversprechen 2026
Die Preise haben sich verändert. Der Markt hat sich vom ruinösen Preiskampf verabschiedet und sich in Preisklassen eingependelt.

Budget-Engineering (unter 600 €): Die Bambu A-Serie (Nachfolger der A1 Mini) ist unschlagbar. Für die schnelle Prototypenerstellung nicht-struktureller Teile bietet sie die beste Rendite.

Professionelle Arbeitstiere (1000–2500 €): Hier tobt ein harter Kampf. Ein Prusa MK4S-Kit ist zwar günstiger als ein Bambu X2 Combo, aber die Montagezeit kostet Geld. Bei einem Stundensatz von über 50 € amortisiert sich der Bambu allein durch die Zeitersparnis bei der Montage.

Großformat (ab 2500 €): Der Prusa XL mit 5 Werkzeugköpfen ist einzigartig. Echter Multimaterialdruck ohne Abfall (im Gegensatz zu den Resten des Bambu) macht ihn zum König komplexer Geometrien. Ein großformatiger Voron ist zwar in der Teileanschaffung günstiger, erfordert aber 40 Arbeitsstunden.
Es gibt nicht den einen „besten“ Drucker, sondern nur das beste Werkzeug für Ihre spezifischen Sicherheits- und Durchsatzanforderungen. Wenn Sie ein Gerät suchen, das unauffällig im Hintergrund arbeitet und einfach nur Teile produziert, entscheiden Sie sich für einen Bambu Lab. Benötigen Sie eine Maschine, die Sie mit Standardersatzteilen unbegrenzt warten können und die völlig unabhängig von der Cloud ist, wählen Sie einen Prusa. Sind Sie Ingenieur und möchten die Grenzen der Physik ausloten, auch wenn Sie sich dabei die Finger verletzen, bauen Sie einen Voron.
Was auch immer Sie wählen, denken Sie daran: Belüftung ist unerlässlich. Lassen Sie Ihre Luftqualitätssensoren kalibrieren und drucken Sie sicher.
