Praktische Erfahrung: Das Metallsintern

Kommen wir nun zum konkreten Anwendungsfall, der den Großteil des Traffics auf diese Seiten generiert: 3D-Metalldruck.
Ich habe eine Verteilerkonstruktion für eine Rauchgasabsaugung hochgeladen – komplexe Innengeometrie, CNC-Bearbeitung nicht möglich. Auf der neuen Benutzeroberfläche von PCBWay wählte ich Edelstahl 316L. Die KI-gestützte DFM-Analyse wies sofort auf ein Problem mit der Wandstärke (0,6 mm) hin, das beim Sintern zu thermischem Verzug geführt hätte. Das ist der Mehrwert.
Das physikalische Ergebnis:

Oberflächenbeschaffenheit: Die rohe, gesinterte Oberfläche hatte eine Rauheit von ca. 6,3 µm (Ra). Rau, wie feines Schleifpapier, aber chemisch rein.

Dichte: Nahezu 99,8 %. Ich habe im Labor eine schnelle Porositätsprüfung durchgeführt, und das Material hielt dem Vakuumdruck ohne Dichtmittel stand.

Toleranzen: Die Bohrungsdurchmesser lagen innerhalb von +/- 0,05 mm der CAD-Datei.
Der Versuch, dies intern nachzubilden, würde einen separaten Raum für die Argon-Gashandhabung und das Pulvermanagement erfordern. Die Auslagerung dieses einzelnen Teils kostete 140 US-Dollar. Die Einrichtung eines Metalllabors kostet über 100.000 US-Dollar. Rechnen Sie selbst.
Sicherheitsprotokoll: Outsourcing-Risiko
Als Sicherheitsexperte empfehle ich häufig Outsourcing, um Probleme mit der Chemikalienhygiene zu vermeiden.
Wenn Sie mit Hochtemperaturharzen oder leitfähigen Materialien drucken möchten, arbeiten Sie mit VOCs (flüchtigen organischen Verbindungen), die eine intensive Belüftung erfordern. Indem Sie diese Aufträge an einen Fertigungsbetrieb vergeben, lagern Sie die Einhaltung der OSHA-Vorschriften aus.
Allerdings ist beim Umgang mit der Verpackung Vorsicht geboten.

Auspacken: Industriedrucke weisen oft Reste von Stützstrukturen oder Metallpulver auf. Öffnen Sie die Verpackungen in einem gut belüfteten Bereich.

Reinigung: Selbst „gereinigte“ Teile aus Übersee können noch nicht ausgehärtetes Monomer auf der Oberfläche aufweisen. Ich wische eingehende SLA-Teile immer mit Isopropanol ab und lasse sie zur Sicherheit weitere 10 Minuten in meiner Harzhärtungsstation aushärten.

Persönliche Schutzausrüstung: Tragen Sie Nitrilhandschuhe, wenn Sie frische Lieferungen von chemischen Drucken handhaben.
Der entscheidende Faktor: Versand & Logistik
Keine Rezension ist ehrlich ohne Kritikpunkte. Die globale Logistikkette ist zwar im Jahr 2026 besser, aber noch lange nicht perfekt.
Versteckte Kosten: Der Versand ist der Knackpunkt. Eine Leiterplattenbestellung im Wert von 5 $ kostet mit DHL Express 35 $. Bei der Standardversandart (Global Direct) müssen Sie mit einer Lieferzeit von bis zu drei Wochen rechnen.
Zollverzögerungen: Dieses Jahr habe ich eine verschärfte Zollkontrolle bei „nicht identifizierten technischen Bauteilen“ festgestellt. Mein Paket mit Leiterplatten lag vier Tage lang in einem Verteilzentrum in Cincinnati fest, weil die Handelsrechnung unklar war.
Tipp: Wählen Sie, wenn möglich, immer die Versandoption DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). So verhindern Sie, dass der Spediteur Ihre Prototypen wegen einer Zollgebühr von 12 $ einbehält.
Mit Blick auf das Jahr 2026 geht es bei der Entscheidung zwischen Eigenfertigung und Outsourcing nicht mehr um die eigenen Fähigkeiten, sondern um Kapazität und Sicherheit. Benötigen Sie eine einzelne PLA-Halterung, nutzen Sie Ihren hauseigenen Drucker. Für Sintermetall, komplexe Leiterplatten oder Serien von mehr als 50 Nylonteilen hat sich die externe Fertigung jedoch zu einer zuverlässigen Erweiterung Ihres Labors entwickelt. Berücksichtigen Sie dabei die Lieferzeit und prüfen Sie jedes Teil vor der Freigabe mit einem Messschieber.
