Le chauffage actif de la chambre sur les derniers modèles 2026 a considérablement réduit la déformation. La XL de Prusa est exceptionnelle pour les supports multi-matériaux, permettant d'imprimer des supports en PLA pour les pièces en PETG, qui se détachent ensuite facilement.

Avantage Voron : Si vous devez imprimer du PEEK ou du PEI, une Voron correctement modifiée avec une chambre chauffée est la meilleure option en dehors des machines industrielles Stratasys. Mais encore une fois, vous construisez vous-même les systèmes de sécurité.
Protocoles de sécurité : une analyse critique
C'est là que j'enfile mon rôle de responsable de la sécurité. L'impression 3D génère des particules ultrafines (PUF) et des composés organiques volatils (COV).
Bambu Lab se distingue par sa sécurité intégrée. Leur série X est équipée d'un système de filtration au charbon actif. Ce n'est pas parfait – je recommande toujours une ventilation externe – mais il capture la majeure partie des émanations de styrène issues de l'impression ABS. Ils disposent également d'une protection robuste contre l'emballement thermique et d'une détection des enchevêtrements de filaments par intelligence artificielle qui prévient efficacement les risques d'incendie.
Prusa exige l'achat de l'extension « Enclosure » pour bénéficier de la filtration HEPA et du système d'extinction d'incendie. Ce dernier est performant, mais représente un coût et une étape supplémentaires. En revanche, la protection thermique de leur firmware est excellente.
Voron est un cas à part. Attention : J'ai vu des imprimantes Voron assemblées par des étudiants avec un câblage sous tension secteur qui ferait pleurer un électricien. Le câblage de l'alimentation et du relais statique étant à votre charge, le risque d'incendie est réel en cas de négligence. À moins d'être un électricien certifié ou un constructeur expérimenté, n'installez pas un Voron de fabrication maison dans une salle de classe.
Proposition de valeur 2026
Les prix ont évolué. Le marché s'est stabilisé autour de différentes gammes de prix, abandonnant la course aux prix les plus bas.

Petit budget (moins de 600 €) : La Bambu série A (successeur de la A1 Mini) est imbattable. Pour le prototypage rapide de pièces non structurelles, elle offre le meilleur retour sur investissement.

Professionnel exigeant (1 000 € - 2 500 €) : C'est le terrain de jeu le plus concurrentiel. Un kit Prusa MK4S est moins cher qu'un Bambu X2 Combo, mais le temps d'assemblage représente un coût important. Si votre tarif horaire dépasse 50 €, la Bambu est rentabilisée rien qu'avec les économies de temps d'assemblage.

Grand format (plus de 2 500 €) : La Prusa XL à 5 têtes d'impression est unique. Son impression multi-matériaux sans gaspillage (contrairement au système de purge de la Bambu) en fait la référence pour les géométries complexes. Une imprimante Voron grand format coûte moins cher en pièces détachées, mais vous coûtera 40 heures de main-d'œuvre.
Il n'existe pas d'imprimante « idéale », seulement l'outil le mieux adapté à vos exigences spécifiques en matière de sécurité et de productivité. Si vous souhaitez une machine discrète qui se contente de produire des pièces, optez pour une Bambu Lab. Si vous avez besoin d'une machine facile à entretenir grâce à des pièces détachées standard et sans dépendance au cloud, choisissez une Prusa. Si vous êtes un ingénieur passionné par l'expérimentation et prêt à relever les défis techniques, construisez une Voron.
Quel que soit votre choix, n'oubliez pas : la ventilation est essentielle. Faites calibrer vos capteurs de qualité de l'air et imprimez en toute sécurité.
